The one thing that gets us going in this house is a great cup of coffee each morning. But, now that summer is practially here in Texas, a piping hot cup of coffee is taking a back-seat to a delicious frozen iced mocha coffee. Just thinking about sitting on the porch first thing in the morning while it's still quite cool, by cool I mean in the 70s, and sipping on my favorite frozen version of Dunkin’ Donuts® coffee made with Dunkin’ Donuts® creamer, has me excited for the long, hot summer months.
Now, I still love to enjoy a traditional hot cup of coffee and not sure I could ever replace them for good. My husband loves to grab his cup every morning before heading off to work. But, now that warmer weather is here, I love to mix it up and cool off on those super hot mornings. Plus, it makes for a great treat in the afternoons when temps soar past 100.
Now you can cool off this summer too with this delicious frozen iced mocha coffee. Plus, it's versitile. Can be changed up to your tastes and favorite flavors. I used Dunkin’ Donuts® Extra Extra Creamer because it is made with real sugar, milk and cream for a wonderfully rich and smooth taste that is exactly what I am looking for. Plus, Dunkin’ Donuts® Original Creamer is made with skim milk, real sugar and cream for a lightly sweet touch that is perfect for every coffee lovers drink.
What you need:
- 2 cups of ice
- 1/4 cup Dunkin' Donuts® Original or Extra Extra Creamer
- 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
- favorite coffee - I used Dunkin' Donuts® of course
- blender
- *optional extra 1/4 cup of milk or double up your creamer.
1. Measure out your ingredients and set aside.
2. Prep your coffee maker to make enough for a travel size mug of coffee for two or single cup for one.
3. If your coffee maker allows, place the travel cup with 2 cups of ice underneath and brew your coffee as normal or over ice or specialty brew. If your coffee maker does not allow this, simply make your coffee as normal and then pour over ice in cup or mug.
4. Once your coffee has finished brewing, simply pour, with ice, into blender.
5. Add chocolate syrup and optional milk.
6. Add your favorite Dunkin' Donuts® creamer.
7. Top with lid and blend until frosted and frothy.
8. Pour into mugs. I used a mug with handle, lid, and straw perfect for enjoying outside.
9. Enjoy your delicious frozen iced mocha coffee.
Be sure to stop by your neighborhood Wal-Mart to get your Dunkin’ Donuts® creamer and all the ingredients needed to re-create this Frozen Iced Mocha Coffee that is absolutely perfect for the summer time!
