Valentine's Day is just around the corner and it's time to start planning those class Valentines for the kids to pass out. Every year it's the same thing. Search Pinterest to find the cutest and awesomest ideas that you know your kids will love. Shop for those items, spend hours making them, then have your kids say they want the cheap card Valentines at the grocery store because that's what everyone else has. UGH! No, not you? Maybe it's just me. But, every year it seems to work out that way. Maybe because they are boys or maybe because they are getting older. I usually give in and get them what they want. The store Valentines are just fine and great, but they lack personality and are the exact same from year to year and I was looking for something different and something easy. So, when my littlest guy asks for a pencil Valentine and asks me to make it, I of course said YES! and got right to work.
I found the pencils at the dollar spot in Target one day and grabbed a bunch! I knew they would come in handy one day! So, with my little guy next to me we created these heart pencil Valentines that were just what he wanted and so easy to make. All you need is a printer or print shop. Scissors, and pencils. Possibly a craft knife, but a sharp pair of scissors will do the trick as well.
Simply, head to download our free printable HERE. Print out on cardstock. Cut out along the lines. Make a slit on the gray lines inside the heart, and slide pencil through. Add to and from names and pass out to friends!!!
