My husband is an avid coffee drinker. It's an every single day kind of thing. I'm not so much of a coffee drinker. But, do drink it more since the boys were born. I have skimmed back a bit on my coffee drinking habits. Whether it's just plain ole coffee or a more adventurous type of brew, coffee is a staple here in the mornings.
We, or I should say, I, have been updating just little things throughout the house. I wanted to create a coffee station in our kitchen, but because of budget and time, have to do it little by little. I created some awesome industrial wood shelves (will share later) to hold our coffee bar essentials. But, I wanted some decor as well and I have not been able to find anything I really love. So, using some scrap wood, paint, and decal, I created this easy coffee lovers wood sign that fits perfectly in our kitchen.
Materials Needed:
- 1 2x3 or 2x4 piece of wood cut to desired size. Mine is cut to 7in
- Craft Paint
- Paint Brush
- Sandpaper
- Stickers, Decals, Stencils or paint marker
1. Using the craft paint, paint your piece of wood and let dry. May need more then 1 coat.
2. Once dry, use the sandpaper to sand edges and side to create a worn look.
3. Using decals, stickers, stencils, freehand draw, etc., a hashtag symbol and the word coffee. I used vinyl and cut my letters on a die cut machine.
Ta da!!! How easy was that!!! I love our coffee sign and fits perfectly on to the new wood shelves we created for our upcoming coffee bar. I'll share that soon!!!
