Christmas is finally here. Can you believe it?!? This year we are hosting our family dinner at our home and cannot wait. Our celebration lasts two days. We celebrate Christmas Eve with my family and a great big dinner and then Christmas Day with a brunch with my husbands family. We rotate hosting each year and this year it's my turn! I am so excited and we are all looking forward to having everyone in our home. To start preparing for the big day, I headed straight to Costco to pick up all the essentials I need to get my home holiday party ready.
I love shopping at Costco because it allows me to save money on products I use by buying in bulk. I know that I wont run out of essential items like Bounty paper towels, Charmin toilet paper, and Cascade action pacs. Especially since with having two boys, these items seem to be used quite frequently. Knowing that we will have a full house for two days, and that means lots of dishes, lots of spills, and lots of bathroom breaks, I grabbed everything I needed and now I won't have to worry about running out of anything.
Now that I am all set from Costco, I have to get my house cleaned and ready for our guests. But, having two boys, it's hard to keep the house clean. It seems just as soon as I have have one room cleaned, I have to start all over. So, I decided to make this Quick Holiday Cleaning Check list and to put together a cleaning kit to help me clean and keep it clean until Christmas Eve.

To get your home Party Ready in minutes, just check out a few simple cleaning ideas that will make your home seem like you spent hours cleaning.
1. De-clutter your party space. Put away any mail, paper, toys, shoes, etc. from the area your guests will be dining or entertaining in.
2. Run the dishwasher before your guests arrive. We use Cascade Complete Action Pacs from Costco because we know our Christmas dinner and brunch will use a lot of dishes and we want to make sure they are nice and clean and ready for our guests to dine on.
3. Wipe down the bathroom with a disinfecting wipe. A quick swipe around the bathroom will have it shining brightly. With two boys, no matter how often I clean it, it will always need to be touched up. No need to deep clean it daily.
4. Make sure you stock all your bathrooms with Charmin toilet paper. Always good to have extra on hand just in case. With lots of people, it's always great to be prepared.
5. We always have Bounty paper towels ready in the kitchen. There is bound to be messes with kids around. Make sure you're stocked up with a fresh roll. Keep a few handy nearby for any emergencies.
6. Using a duster and wood polish, dust items in your entertaining space. No need for a deep clean. Just simply clean any coffee or end tables, TV and stand, and any item a guest may need to use.
7. Wipe down the kitchen counters and sink.
8. Sweep and Vacuum.
9. Don't forget your secondary bathrooms, if possible. You never want to be caught off guard and tell a guest they have to wait.
10. Relax and enjoy your Christmas party.
