Chomp Chomp! It's a Modern Gator Themed Birthday Party

We recently celebrated my son's 6th birthday gator style! We wanted a fun summer style party and new that a gator was perfect! He loves aquariums, the zoo, and animals. He also loves the color blue so we decided upon a blue and white with some green and a tiny bit of orange thrown in there. :)

Beware of the alligators! Guests were welcomed by a caution sign warning of possible gators lurking around. Plus, if  you made it past the scary gators, the custom made welcome sign greeting party goers to a fun filler summer party.

He also loves to paint. So, when I found these awesome wood gators that you can paint yourself, I knew those would the be perfect party favor. Plus, the gators came with paint brushes and paints! Awesome deal! So, I set up a "Paint Your Own Gator" station for the kids to paint and then take home with them.

For decor, I had some fabulous pillows hand made for me by Lisa from Cottontail Creations. They were the perfect decor for our living room area since we really didn't have any actual decorations in that part and the area the party was held is connected to the living room. It tied it all together and could not have been happier.

I set the kids meals, pre-made croissants with turkey and cheese, gold fish crackers, and an alligator shaped cookie put into a super cute blue and white striped bag from Pick Your Plum, all set inside green or blue sand buckets. I also attached little gators to the front of the buckets. Kids were able to take home their buckets as an added surprise. I had a meat and cheese tray with croissants as well as fruit and veggies, set out for the adults to make their own lunch. :) We also had little snack packs of pretzels and chips.

Outside we set up our water slide and bounce house as well as had our playground and trampoline set out for the kids to play on. Since we knew it would be hot out, 100+, I set out sunscreen and bug spray just in case. Also, since the water slide was in full force, I set out extra towels for all the kids. Plus, snacks and water in case they got hungry. I didn't want all those wet kids running around the house!

The dessert table was covered in blue in white stripes, keeping with the modern feel of the party. Gator shaped cookies as well as a gator shaped cake were the focal point of the dessert table. Hand made wooden sign was made specially for the table set up. The Purple Pug created this amazing banner as our backdrop.

The dining table matched the dessert table with the same blue and white striped pattern, blue and green accents and of course, gators.

Party guests sipped on lemonade, the perfect summer refreshment.

A fitting end to a fun and hot afternoon, a See Ya Later Gator sign we made to say good bye to our party guests.

We hand painted the canvases and applied a gator decal to them. We also hand made the cabana using a tutorial we found on Pinterest. However, the tutorial was extremely off in dimensions and sizes and even materials used had basically had to start from scratch. (A strong wind the night before collapsed our cabana and had to rebuild, quickly, about 30min before party, hence reason it looks a mess).
